With 2025 now in full swing, I’ve compiled my favorite podcasts and books I read and listened to in 2024. This is a great way to start 2025 off investing not only in yourself but your healing journey. As a trauma therapist, I've recommended each of these resources many times over the past year and hope this 2024 recap is helpful for your own journey.
Below you’ll find a list with links and descriptions to help add to your upcoming repertoire.
Favorite Books From 2024

Atlas of the Heart by Brené Brown
If you’re new to the emotions world or want to expand your knowledge, Atlas of the heart is a great read. I personally describe it as a modern encyclopedia of emotions. Brené has grouped emotions together in ways that give new life and understanding to emotions’ purpose and potential in our lives.

No Bad Parts by Richard C. Schwartz, PhD
No Bad Parts is written from The Internal Family Systems lens and guides you through a journey of self-discovery, insight and internal healing. No Bad Parts leans into the premise of what it’s title suggests - we have no bad parts and helps us understand our internal world in a new light.

Attached by Amir Levine, MD and Rachel S. F. Heller, M.A.
Need a great read to help you better understand your attachment style and connect better with your partner and in relationships? Spend some time diving deeper into what makes up your attachment style and tendencies and learn how to move toward secure attachment. This book was technically published in 2010, but was one of my most frequently recommended books as a therapist in 2024.
